Ms. Lacy is a Bronx resident,  50  years  as  a  performing  artist,  choreographer  and  dance  instructor  serving  underserved  communitie.   An  alumni of Ophelia DeVore School of Charm/ Modeling Agency.  Formally known as The Grace Del Marco Modeling Agency.  Ms. Lacy was inspired   to  pay  it  forward  as a young teen by her mentors  Ms.   Ophelia  DeVore who was the first fair-skinned person of African descent who helped in establishing the first African American modeling agency in America.  In the agency's early days. it was a stepping stone for countless household names:  Diahann Carroll, Hellen Williams, Richard Roundtree, Cicely Tyson and others. At the age of 14  Ms. Lacy embarked on becoming a community activist as well as a runway model, choreographer, performer and actress. Ms. Lacy attended Hunter College, majored in dance, but eventually became an educator of   20   years whose work focuces on the development of community-based art. and went on to a stella career in education, dance and theater. Working with many varied companies, choeoragrpher and directors  such as Michael Campus in the best selling 1974 autobiography of Sonny Carson, Micheal Schulz for the 1985  movie Krush Groove, choreographers: Phil Black, Sue Samuels, Frank Hatchett, Laroque Bey and Baba Chuck Davis

 A.K.A.  MS. SYLK, Born January 21, 1992. Ms. Sylk had a stroke at birth which landed her in this world of different.  Her life expectancy was quoted to be 5 years old in a vegetative state until she transitioned. I as her mother could not correct the mistakes of the human hand, but I knew her awesome father and I had other plans. We could love her as she is with all of our heart and give her the best quality of life knowing the road ahead was going to be challenging.

 Ms. Sylk is a true angel and her bittersweet journey has touched and inspired so many from all walks of life. God has truly blessed us with an angel. .

It's been a long journey, that all that's needed to be said.
